Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-A

In Sunday’s AJC, there was an interview with Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-A.

Truett is truly what I call a Great American. One quote resonated with me, it is an example of what I teach when I go around and speak at high schools and colleges.

Truett said, “We can teach them ( employees) to make cole slaw and cook a Chick-fil-A, But we can’t change their character.” This is so true, this is what I share with students.

If you want to improve your life, you need to start by improving your philosophy on life. This leads to what Truett Cathy calls Character.

Values.com

I want to share one of the best websites for true positive thoughts, values and motivation, www.Values.com, The Foundation for a Better Life.

This organization has positive thoughts and ideas that you can weave into your own life. If you are in education, please check out this great site and consider including some of the ideas and thoughts into the material you present to your students.

The only way we are going to improve our society as a whole is to return to a life of old fashion values, improve our thinking about others, use respect towards others and realize what’s important in life.

After you have visited their website, check out their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/valuescom
